Bright prints and grunge look rock London

Vibrant Asian-inspired prints, chiffon dresses with velvet appliques and a grunge look relaunched on Monday hit catwalk as designers Peter Pilotto, Christopher Kane and Mark Fast offered their autumn / winter 2012 collections at London Fashion Week.
Christopher Kane, whose track was lined with purple plush and lit by two huge projectors, presented a mixture of leather jackets, animal print dresses and separates in chiffon with velvet details.
Dresses in red, purple, dark blue track ran on models with the gel-slick hair, wear minimal makeup and chunky black heels.
Model and TV presenter Alexa Chung, a British Fashion Council’s Youth Ambassador, attended the show alongside U.S. Vogue editor Anna Wintour and Samantha Cameron, wife of Prime Minister of Great Britain.
“I love everything about Christopher Kane. I like that it has a rather dark side, he loves to explore, always produces very portable, nice clothes,” Chung told Reuters.
Pilotto and Christopher De Vos partners offered a collection of slinky dresses with Asian-inspired prints, sexy cut out details and multicolored fur scarves.
Sleek dresses with elongated mesh panels, cut bodices and engravings yellow, blue and green on a black background also featured in the collection.
“We find it very exciting to meet the future and the past in this way,” says Pilotto.
Graduated shades of blue punctuated with show designer Mark Fast cerulean, azure blue and dark gray grunge dominant theme dating back to the heady days of an emerging rock scene in the 1990s in Seattle led by the singer of Nirvana, Kurt Cobain .
